I don't believe that is true, but the internet would definitely be a less interesting, vibrant place without it. I wish someone would flip the kill switch on Facebook. FB and MZ scare the hell out of me - anyone else? Tammara Acerra You say there could be no internet without Anonymous. Wow, can't believe I didn't hear about this before now. W/e, I for one, am completely fascinated. It's terribly interesting, if you ask me. I can't wait to see what the government will do. Will they do the right thing, and weaken their own power in favor of liberty? or will they take a trip down the path it seems all government is destined for, the path of totalarianism? That's prolly a lil extreme. But its inevitably going to blow up, and its already escalating, seeing how the FBI is kicking down doors and raiding lol. It'll actually most likely happen during the rapidly approaching World War 3, when the government gets tired of the inevitable protests and anarchy on the internet. I'm sure it scares them, bad. Them not being the ones with the total last word on the internet. But I jest. Mostly. At least about WW3. Still, people are interesting, aren't they? Ahh. Take stock of what you believe in, and consider what you would do if they were all revealed. Our habits will change. Things we're ashamed of will be dropped. Things we cannot bear to live without, we will defend. Everyone will face this problem. The end result is a world where people are proud of their lives, and underhanded reputation smearing will become meaningless in the face of full disclosure. Actually, being forced to publicly declare my love of steampunk and cyberpunk fashion would be liberating! I hope they let me wear the engineer frock to work...!
