Ryan Letada from eKindling, which is working on the OLPC project in the Philippines, sent me a message over the weekend to let me know about a fundraiser which will be taking place in New York City on May 20th. It sounds like a great event and so I thought it might be of interest to some of you here as well.
Small solutions and big ideas can lead to giant steps forward in global education. This is the inspiration behind the United States based organization called Small Solutions Big Ideas and their growing movement to transform education in Kenya through the XO Laptop.
As part of the global education movement, the Education Kindling (eKindling) Team will join Small Solutions Big Ideas and the Kenyan community in celebrating and showcasing the One Laptop Per Child movement in both Kenya and the Philippines. If you are in New York City, join us on May 20th, 20011! This is fundraiser for OLPC Kenya.
