{"id":1301,"date":"2008-10-07T22:07:30","date_gmt":"2008-10-07T14:07:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/?p=1301"},"modified":"2008-10-09T12:04:25","modified_gmt":"2008-10-09T04:04:25","slug":"mayn-live-in-singapore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/2008\/10\/07\/mayn-live-in-singapore\/","title":{"rendered":"May&#8217;n Live in Singapore!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"caption\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/07_mayn.jpg\" alt=\"May'n\" style=\"width:400px; height:225px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Yes, this is NOT a joke. <strong>May&#8217;n<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/mayn.horipro.jp\/\">May Nakabayashi<\/a>), the beautiful voice behind Sheryl&#8217;s songs in <strong>Macross Frontier<\/strong>, will be making her way down to this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitsingapore.com\/publish\/stbportal\/en\/home.html\">tiny-red-dot island<\/a> to perform live at the inaugural <strong>Anime Festival Asia<\/strong>, previously <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/2008\/09\/03\/anime-festival-asia-08-press-conference\/\">introduced<\/a> on my blog, to be held on the <strong>22nd<\/strong> and <strong>23rd of November<\/strong> 2008. This will be her first live performance outside of Japan and will possibly mark the greatest moment in Singapore&#8217;s short and pathetic history.<\/p>\n<p>More details after the break.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/07_mayn2.jpg\" alt=\"May'n\" style=\"width:400px; height:400px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dentsu<\/strong>, the organizer of AFA08, held a small informal session today to announce a few new details on the upcoming event.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a list of things about the concert that have been officially confirmed by the organizers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>May&#8217;n will be performing at least <strong>7 songs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>There will be an <strong>autograph session<\/strong> but the exact procedure for it is to be determined.<\/li>\n<li>No additional ticket purchase is required for the concert; everything is included in the convention entry fee.<\/li>\n<li>There will be premium tickets for reserved seats, but the details are yet to be confirmed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here are some other things about the convention that have been confirmed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kunio_Okawara\">Kunio Okawara<\/a>, the mechanical designer of <strong>Mobile Suit Gundam<\/strong> and <strong>Gundam 00<\/strong>, will be appearing at the event to sign autographs and judge the Bandai Action Kit Universal Cup Competition (BAKUC).<\/li>\n<li>Kotobukiya, Good Smile Company, Kaiyodo, Alter, Square Enix, Revoltech, and other companies will have retail presence at the convention.<\/li>\n<li>Kotobukiya is releasing an exclusive limited edition Armored Core model for sale during the convention. Other companies may have exclusive merchandises too, but details are not yet available.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2008-04-20\/japan-jump-anime-tour-to-show-new-dagon-ball-anime\">Jump Super Anime Tour<\/a> will be part of the convention.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unconfirmed rumours:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is at least one other seiyuu yet to be announced.<\/li>\n<li>She is not Megumi Nakajima.<\/li>\n<li>Possible Revoltech release.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See, I told you AFA08 will be awesome.
