I would watch this series when I was younger but once I started college I for some strange reason I became a Republican(I was apolitical before also joined the army so I guess that is why I am a Rep now)and that put an end to me watching it

This is one of my favourite shows. I probably didn’t fully understand everything that was going on, but it sparked an interest in politics I never knew I had. And goddam is the dialogue punchy and the plots inspiring!

If you liked this DM, you might want to try Aaron Sorkin’s next show, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. It only lasted one season and is a little different, but equally entertaining and thought-provoking.

If you liked the West Wing, you might be interested in “Yes Minister”, and its sequel “Yes Prime Minister”. It’s a satirical comedy of British politics from the 1980s, produced by the BBC. The series portrays the relationship between civil servants and politicians; and almost every episode has the civil servants winning :P (probably reflecting what happens in real life). It had extremely high ratings when it was originally shown on TV.

I found it witty, intelligent, and funny. I’m guessing you’d probably enjoy it :)
