Unfortunatly there will not be a live action movie. The clips that you may or may not of seen are only the results of some talented people making spoofs using Clips from different films and games.

I think ur absolutly right Matt, but to say dont watch the new movies is kinda hard even for the ones who r saying “dont make the new movies” i mean every Eva loving fan is goin to watch it. I personally have nothing against the new movies i think they are goin to be fun.

I think one of the funniest things about these arguments is that, by default, everyone who enjoyed Eva is biased in some way. People who argue that a remake will destroy the original Eva are making a laughable argument. Unless all of the available NGE tapes, DvDs, and digital downloads are somehow magically erased come the release of these films, there will be no change to the original series.
If you don’t care for the new films, simply don’t watch them.

And on that note, if you expect these films to be the same as the original series, then you’re wasting your time and breath. Of course they’re going to be different to some extent- otherwise what would be the point of remaking them? Again, refer to my first paragraph- if you want to see the original Eva series in all its glory, go watch the original series.

Now, if you’re arguing that these might be BETTER then the original series, that’s a ridiculous argument to make as well. They will simply be DIFFERENT- there is no universal judge which mandates that one series is better than another. It whittles down to personal preference and subjective enjoyment. Leave the arguing to politicians and keep an open mind.

I love all of the Eva grils, but Rei kicks as i mean shes got all that AT field and stuff. Dont know much about mana but anyway cant wait for the 4 animes and the real life action movie =)
