I'd hate to see an amazing story like that being ripped and twisted because of unknown reasons. (y) Let’s hope so… reading the novel was so much fun. Itsuki's revelation will also be continued in the next part of Yuuutsu, whichever episode that is. I'm guessing the episode after next is the conclusion of Remote Island Syndrome and the episode after that is Yuuutsu IV. Yuuutsu is the only novel with a proper story that lasts for more than 2 chapters. If you follow the timeline and end up covering the whole of Yuuutsu in less than half the series, you will end up with a bunch of short stories for the remaining half of the series... which will make for a pretty lame ending for the anime. This zOMfG series is complicated enough... why torture us with story jumps and such? What’s with the sudden jumps? This zOMfG series is complicated enough… why torture us with story jumps and such?

I'm hoping for something like Genshiken or Honey and Clover, where the animators decide to do a sequel because the original generated enough interest/profit for them to want to wrap up/continue the series. If Haruhi is as popular in Japan as it is on the internet, it'll most probably get a sequel. If they want to wrap it up, they’ll need a sequel.
