Congratulations One Laptop Per Child! You've been chosen by the editors of Popular Science magazine as one of 100 breakthroughs of 2006 that merit the magazine's highest honor: a "Best of What's New" Grand Award for a OLPC XO Better Screen, Better World.
While you didn't win the coveted overall outstanding "Innovation of the Year," award, that went to the Hurriquake Nail, and you didn't win the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum's "People's Design Award", that went to the Katrina Cottage, the "Best of What's New" award is surely just the first of many awards you'll receive.
For example, Nicholas Negroponte was already named an Angenda Setter 2006 just for thinking up the OLPC $100 laptop CM1 2B1 XO Children's Machine. But how can you be assured of winning, even if you can't decide on a laptop name or don't share your implementation plan?
