What Would Gendo Ikari Do?

South Park movie.  Original lyrics by Trey Parker; new
lyrics by Lara Bartram.


[The three are standing outside, looking somewhat down.]

Kensuke:I didn't think Misato would listen.

Shinji:	Then we'll just have to save my mom ourselves!

Kensuke:But how?

Shinji:	Think about it, you guys.  What would my dad do?  He'd
	figure out a way to save my mom before Third Impact.
		
Kensuke:We can't do anything.  SEELE's too powerful.

Shinji:	We'll just have to pilot the EVAs ourselves to try and
	find a way together.
		
Toji:	Yeah, like our own secret organization!

Kensuke:I guess that could work.

Shinji:	We have to try!

[Song begins]

Shinji:	What would Gendo Ikari do
	If he was here right now?
	He'd make a plan and he'd follow through
	That's what Gendo Ikari'd do.

Kensuke:When Gendo Ikari was at Kyoto
	Getting his degree
	He got drunk and beat up a lot
	And got married to Yui.

Toji:	When Gendo Ikari was at Gehirn
	Plotting every day
	He used his wife and magic specs
	To try and sink SEELE.

All 3:	So what would Gendo Ikari do

Toji:	I want my arm and leg back too
	Where do I put my spare glove and shoe?

Kensuke:And I just want to shoot a gun cuz playing soldier's fun.

Shinji:	For Asuka I'll be a bastard too
	Cuz that's what Gendo Ikari'd do.

All 3:	What would Gendo Ikari do?
	He'd get all the kids in town
	And make them pilot an EVA or two
	That's what Gendo Ikari'd do

[The singing pauses briefly with the approach of a stranger.]

	Voice:	Someone say my name?
	Shinji:	Who are you?
	Voice:	I'm Masuyo Ikari.
	Toji:	What?  No, not Masuyo Ikari!
	Shinji:	Get the f...  Ahem.  Get out of here, please.
	Masuyo:	Oh.  Bye!

[The woman hurries off down the street.  Singing resumes.]

All 3:	When Gendo Ikari cloned a girl
	With hair of the lightest blue
	He used an angel's DNA
	And got a bit of Yui's too

Toji:	When Gendo Ikari built the EVAs
	He screwed over the UN

All 3:	Cuz Gendo Ikari doesn't take shit from anybody...
